Isabel Burton, MSW Intern
Isabel is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Pennsylvania and received her BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California (Fight On!). She is particularly passionate about supporting young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorder. She recognizes how transformative a supportive therapeutic relationship can have on emotional well-being and is eager to help clients navigate through challenging situations with empathy and understanding.
Isabel’s main goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in their healing journey. She is committed to empowering her clients to become more resilient, helping them recognize and acquire the tools they need to face life’s hurdles on their own. Isabel is especially interested in integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques and mindfulness practices into her work, empowering clients to develop coping strategies that promote long-term emotional wellness.
Her professional experience includes providing trauma informed counseling to
adolescents in a school setting and serving as a HelpLine Specialist at the National Alliance on Mental Illness, where she supported individuals and families facing mental health challenges. In her freetime, Isabel enjoys testing new recipes in the kitchen and feeding her friends, as well as spending time with her cat, Slippers.
